Subject: Limit problems and Close loop
Hy to every one, My mill start to move and sound great, but I have 2 problems,

   1. Limit switch,  I conect 5 limit in serial to IO17 , I give 3.3v to them , so when one of them open the mill stops, The problem is that the mill stops 10 times in a mill process and limit does not swich to on,
I try to use 5V and an Optocopler board and same result
I see that in industrial machines use 24v to sensor, and then to optocupler board or relay,

Which is the best way to conect the limit?

  2. Close loop, I install a digital scale to the mill and conected to Kflop, when I conect them the measured is wrong, I mean if I say G0 x150, it moves X 162 or so. If I do not use the scales the table moves correctly. when I conect the scales I just change in Config flash in every axis, input – encoder, output --- CL step

Hi Santiago,

Regarding:

#1
KFLOP's inputs are very fast and may detect false limits if there are noise spikes on the signals.  You might try a 0.1uF ceramic capacitor to filter out noise spikes.  But Opto isolated 24V limits are the best way to go.  You might consider our Konnect I/O board for this.

You might read this thread on cnczone.com
http://www.cnczone.com/forums/dynomotion-kflop-kanalog/292552-kflop-wiring-configuring-home-switches.html#post1816706

#2 It sounds like the resolution of your linear scale is different from your motor steps.   Do you know the resolution of your scale and the resolution of your motor steps?  If they are different you can scale the input encoder counts to match motor steps using the InputGain0 parameter (ie 162/150 = 1.08).  If set correctly when moving on the Step Response Screen in Open loop mode the Encoder counts should match commanded movement within mechanical error tolerances.

Hy Tom, thanks for your support, I´ll try it next time that I´ll go to my workshop.
